Why Do I Need a Bin and Box Store?
Most people would agree that wheelie bins and recycling boxes are unsightly but also necessary. What Kind of Wood?
If you're looking for top quality, then you're getting it! You won't need to replace this store any time soon. The chest is made from premium pressure-treated redwood. What does that mean for you? Redwood is the hardest of softwoods, so it's relatively light but very hard-wearing. And pressure-treating means it's incredibly weatherproof, so you won't need to worry about heat, damp or freezing temperatures. To keep your chest in perfect shape, you might want to apply stain once a year.

Other Things
We do need to mention a few more things here. First up, all the lids open at the top, giving you access to the wheelie bins and the top recycling box. Lids have a connecting chain, too, letting you connect the bin's lid with the store's lid so that you can lift both at once.
At the front, you'll see three doors, one for each compartment, so loading the store is easy. The doors have bolts, but you can opt for an additional padlock hasp for added security, contact us before ordering if you would like this.
Since the store is self-standing, you can place it anywhere, and we provide a galvanised floor bar that runs under the doors to help the unit keep in shape. But you can also anchor it to the ground if you prefer more stability.
You'll receive your chest as a flat pack containing all you need for construction (except the tools!). But don't worry, there are clear instructions, and the whole process shouldn't take more than an hour or two!

Mostly good and the best designed of the ones I’ve seen. However don’t assume that you can leave it out once delivered, the wrapping is not weatherproof, it needs to be erected or stored with a waterproof cover. The is ok but the ends are not painted. Where does softwood always rot first- correct- the ends. Also it’s quite rough where it’s sawn so be prepared to take off the rough edges with a rasp or similar. I’d also advise that you buy some hardwood stakes from a garden centre and cut them to length to form runners screwed onto the wood in touch with the ground. No softwood, treated or not lasts well if it’s left sitting wet for long periods. Lastly one of the shoot bolts was already rusting when we took off the wrapping. Not a disaster but it doesn’t bode well for the life of the other fittings.

Thanks to the customer services team for arranging for a custom size to save space as I have one small bin. The difference was around 9cm enabling the unit to fit on an area of stone flagging adjacent to the driveway. Looks great, anticipate staining it in the summer to keep the timber in good shape. You get a choice of delivery days, however, I received no tracking or indication of what time it was arriving which made it impossible to pop out to the shops.

After placing my order, I was contacted by a member of the team to discuss delivery and whether I had a drive that the product could left. Very nice product. Delivery was a little slow but happy with the end result. My patio looks with the wooden container hiding the bins and the way the lids of the storage open the bins. It’s lockable so you know the bins are safe from animals. We had no problem making it but I’d recommend 2 people and a electrric screwdriver.
