About Our Wheelie Bin Storage Range

Yes, we'd recommend treating it once per year to maximise its life. You can use a wood stain or water / solvent-based preservatives but try to use the same type each year and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the tin.

No, all of our wheelie bin storage units come flat packed. The stores are supplied with all fixtures/fittings and with easy to follow instructions. Feedback from our customers shows most of them manage to assemble them in a couple of hours. An electric screwdriver or impact driver is required and you'll need a level area to assemble your bin store.

It's up to you – all of our bin stores come with comprehensive instructions and most customers have no issues putting them together. If you have a bad relationship with flat-pack products then employing someone might be a better option. We do provide technical help wherever possible should you need it.

All of our stores are manufactured using high-quality woods that are treated. Our Bellus range is made from redwood planed timber which is tanalised for added longevity. As mentioned above we recommend yearly upkeep either with a wood stain or preservative. Should you do this the store will a long time – 5 to 10 years is a good estimate.

If you're worried about the cover blowing over in high winds (this isn't common as they're sturdy), some customers have informed us they've placed the bin cover-up against a wall and secured it with paracord or a bungee cord threaded through the rear slats and fastened to a hook that is screwed into the wall. This isn't visible so doesn't affect the look of the wheelie bin storage unit.

If your bin lid doesn't have any handles to loop the connecting chain through you have three options:

  1. Run the chain under the lid from one side to the other, fastening it at each side of the bin store lid.
  2. Drill a 10mm hole into the corner of the lid and use this to loop the chain through.
  3. Screw a hook into the lid and use this to hook one of the chain links onto.

All timber utilised in the construction of the wheelie bin stores is responsibly sourced from renewable and sustainably managed forests. The comprehensive tracking system in place allows for the monitoring of certified material from its origin in responsibly managed forests to the hands of the consumer. This tracking method offers transparency, demonstrating our steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible forestry practices. Only companies that have undergone and received certification validating their adherence to these stringent sustainable practices are permitted to promote their products as such. This certification label serves as a reliable indicator, connecting responsible production and consumption, thereby guiding consumers towards making environmentally conscious and responsible purchasing decisions.

All our wheelie bin storage options are designed to fit the various sizes of UK wheelie bins – 140, 180 and 240-litre. So if you know what size wheelie bin you have, you'll know what product you need to store. Most of our range is designed to fit 240-litre wheelie bins, so naturally both smaller bin sizes – 140 and 180 litre will fit too.

A dedicated product for the storage of 1-6 x 360-litre wheelie bins is also available. Please find our 360-litre bin store here.

To have the goods left without a signature you must make us aware of this when delivery is arranged. Should the courier not be able to leave the goods safely, this will be returned to the depot and may incur redelivery charges.

Please note: the driver will not take the pallet through narrow gates or transport on uneven surfaces such as gravel, stones or turf. A hard, level surface such as tarmac or concrete is required for the pallet truck to manoeuvre.
