Why Get a Bin and Box Store?
Let's face facts. We need bins, obviously, and recycling boxes are requirements in some areas. The problem is that you don't want to have ugly wheelie bins sitting in your garden, and just where are you supposed to keep those recycling boxes anyway? This is a double storage unit, with one side being for a 240-litre wheelie bin (so it will naturally fit 140 and 180-litre containers, too) and the other side for recycling boxes. The recycling side has an internal shelf to accommodate two standard-size boxes. You'll need to measure your bins and boxes and where you want to put the whole container. Materials
You're getting a premium product here made from only the highest quality materials. The box itself is constructed from pressure-treated redwood. This is an excellent choice since redwood is the hardest softwood, meaning you get relatively light but durable. And pressurising the wood just makes it more weather resistant, which is good news for the UK climate! In terms of maintenance, you might want to apply stain once a year or so just so that your container stays in tip-top shape.
This bin and box store is made in the UK, in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, meaning you're buying British. And if you're concerned with the environment, you should know that all timber used comes from fully renewable resources.
And the Rest…
There are a few more things that you should know. Firstly, both lids open from the top, giving you easy access to your wheelie bin and the top recycling box. The lids come with a chain that allows you to attach the bin's lid and the chest lid to open simultaneously with one hand.
At the front, there are two doors, both of which can be bolted. If you prefer more security, then opt for lockable hasps, which we can fit for £10 – please get in touch with us, and we'll sort it out for you. This will let you padlock the doors safely. All your hinges, bolts and handles are made from durable metal. The unit is self-standing so that you can place it anywhere, but it can also be anchored to the ground if you choose.
To ensure that our wheelie bin enclosures remain firmly squared, we've incorporated a durable, galvanised floor bar that extends under the doors and is anchored to the lateral panels.
Lastly, this is a flat pack. But it includes all you need, as well as clear instructions, so you should be able to construct your wheelie bin and recycle box store in one to two hours.

Relatively straightforward to assemble – does take more than an hour, but surprisingly manageable. Finish as sold is plain preserved wood, which has a bit of a greenish tinge which I am told will fade with time.
Only slight niggle is that the chains for attaching the wheelie bin lid to the top lid were not present – there were two very small chains to attach to the back of the lid to stop it falling back on the hinge.
